Terms of use · Version 1.0 · last updated 5 September 2026

The deal, in plain English.

These terms cover your use of accqui.com and everything on it: the site, Accqui Rewards, the application process, the community, the beta programme, and the tools and templates we publish. By using the site you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, write to hello@accqui.com and a human will explain it.

Planned app credit model — pending launch and policy review

The proposed pound-credit model is being built for the Accqui app. Registration, rent proof, membership, balances, customer redemption and receipts are app-owned. This draft does not activate those features, replace existing accepted terms or convert or cancel an earlier award or voucher.

Eligible verified rent will earn 5% credit, subject to earning limits, with one earning grant per eligible period. £1,000 of eligible rent earns £50. Credit is usable only for approved discounts at participating businesses; it cannot be withdrawn, transferred or used to pay rent and is not borrowed money.

Accepted current rent will grant membership for 30 days from successful verification. Unused credit will remain visible but locked after expiry until eligible reverification. The same rent period cannot repeatedly award credit or renew membership. Accepted prepaid rent will cover its approved rental dates, with credit divided across the covered months and released monthly; applicable earning limits apply to each covered month.

A participating business funds its approved discount. For example, a £20 eligible purchase with a 10% offer uses £2 credit and leaves £18 to pay directly to the business. Offer restrictions, eligible items and remaining partner allocation apply. Partial use of credit is allowed for ordinary money-off offers only when the business has approved it. No Accqui reimbursement to a business is assumed by this draft.

Customers will see the purchase amount, credit used and amount payable in the app before paying. An ordinary discount needs no additional customer confirmation button; staff confirms payment before credit is consumed and actual savings are recorded. That staff report is not an independent bank-payment verification. Reserved and upcoming credit are not actual savings.

One approved network welcome benefit may be used before rent verification. It needs explicit customer confirmation and a completed qualifying purchase; viewing or reserving it does not consume it. Earned one-use benefits also require customer confirmation. Loyalty campaigns need approved qualifying rules and reserved funding before activation.

Authorised partner managers and Accqui support will handle corrections. An approved full void of an unfulfilled purchase restores consumed credit and reverses recorded savings without deleting the original record. Restored credit is locked if membership has expired. Partial refunds require the original item allocation and approved rules; an already delivered product benefit is not automatically reissued.

Earlier points and issued vouchers retain their applicable records and terms until an explicit transition has been reviewed and communicated. This planned policy does not retrospectively adopt new terms, cancel an outstanding promise or remove any statutory rights. Final purchase, refund and transition details must be reviewed before launch.

Earlier Accqui Rewards points and voucher releases

The following points clauses describe earlier releases and existing applicable terms. They do not describe earning under the planned pound-credit model or approve any retrospective transition.

Consumer membership is free. Accqui Points are promotional units, not money, electronic money, savings or a bank balance. They cannot be withdrawn as cash, transferred to another person or used outside the rewards shown in Accqui. A reference value shown in the app is illustrative; each reward's exact points cost, benefit, expiry and restrictions are shown before you confirm.

Points are earned only for eligible activity that our systems and participating business validate. They may remain pending while we complete checks. We may withhold or reverse points created by a duplicate, refund, error, abuse or invalid visit, using an auditable correction rather than silently changing history. A partner cannot directly alter your points balance.

Local rewards are subject to availability, location, campaign limits and the terms shown in the app. Reserving a reward can hold the stated points until its short expiry. Successful one-use validation completes the redemption; an unused expired reservation releases the held points. Closing your account ends access to unused points, subject to any consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Who we are

"Accqui", "we" and "us" means Accqui Ltd, based in Leeds, UK. We are building tenant-protection tools, launching across the UK in 2026.

What Accqui is right now

Accqui Rewards is being released in phases and is available only in participating launch areas and to the members we have admitted to that release. The wider tenant-protection platform remains pre-launch: visitors can join the waitlist, apply to help build Accqui, take part in approved beta programmes, and use the demos and letter templates we publish. Where the site shows a preview of a future tool, we label it. Previews don't create records, send letters, or store evidence. If we ever say something works before it does, tell us and we'll fix the words.

Your account

Creating an Accqui Rewards account or applying to help build Accqui requires a verified email. You're responsible for keeping your password private. You can ask us to delete an account whenever you like: Rewards members can do this in the app or through the account-deletion page; website members can use their Careers data rights page. See also our privacy notice.

Applications

When you apply, you promise the things you tell us are true. We promise to treat your application fairly and to keep it to the people who review it. We use AI tools to help us organise and summarise applications; people, not software, make every decision about them. Submitting an application doesn't create an employment relationship or any obligation on either side beyond what's written here.

Your content

Things you post to the community, the feedback board, or the bug tracker stay yours. By posting, you give us a non-exclusive licence to display them on the site and use them to improve Accqui. Don't post anything unlawful, hateful, deliberately misleading, or that isn't yours to share. We may remove content that breaks this rule and, in serious cases, close accounts.

Renting stories and research

If you share your renting experiences with us, we use them only with the consent you gave when you shared them, as set out in the privacy notice. Published insights are aggregated and anonymised.

Letters, templates and demos are not legal advice

Accqui is a drafting tool, not a law firm. Templates, letters, demos and any guidance on this site are general information to help you communicate clearly. They are not legal advice, and using them doesn't create any adviser relationship. For advice on your specific situation, speak to a solicitor, Shelter, Citizens Advice, or your local council.

What you may not do

  • Break the law, or try to break the site.
  • Probe, scrape, overload, or attack the service, or attempt to access data that isn't yours.
  • Misrepresent who you are in an application or impersonate anyone else.
  • Use the site to harass anyone, including landlords and agents. Receipts, not revenge.

Our liability

The site is provided as-is while we build. We're responsible for foreseeable loss caused by us breaking these terms, and not for losses that aren't, including the outcome of decisions you make in a tenancy dispute after using the demos or templates. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited (for example, for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence). Nothing here affects your statutory rights.

Changes

When we change these terms we'll update the version number and date at the top; for meaningful changes we'll post a notice on the site and, where we can, email account holders. If you don't accept a change, stop using the site, and you can ask us to delete your account at any time.

The boring-but-important bit

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings there. If one part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
